On this occasion Moraine Park was as lush green as I have ever seen it. A fire that passed six months before had burned most of the meadow, but now it was coming back to life with vigor. Clouds hovered over the Continental Divide as the Big Thompson River, filled to the brim with snow melt, hurried eastward.
