Though the winds tend to howl through our cozy mountain hamlet during the winter months, a snowstorm often brings the gift of absolute stillness. In the mountains and meadows away from the city streets, you can even hear the gentle sizzle of the snowflakes melting when they land upon a warm winter coat. To be out in such conditions is to experience an environment of surpassing peace. Here the naked aspen seem to be lifting up their limbs in mute celebration of this wonderful grace.
