Trail Ridge Road
At this time of year elk can be found up in the tundra along Trail Ridge Road. They stay very busy eating the tundra grasses and don't think of much else right now. At this time of year, their antlers grow at an amazing rate, sometimes growing as much as 1" per day. Photo © copyright by Erik Stensland.
