The small body of water known as Nymph Lake sits deep in the forest. Its water is nearly always still, making it a very peaceful place. During the summer months, lily pads cover its smooth surface. On this late August evening, the imposing form of Longs Peak looked down from high above as it bathed in the warm light of the setting sun.
