Flattop Mountain
I skied up Flattop Mountain through an inch or two of fresh powder and as I reached tree line, I came across a stubby Englemann Spruce tree that had been formed in miniature due to the intense cold and extreme winds of this location. Its branches were full of beautiful little pinecones that had opened and released their seeds to the wind. Photo © copyright by Erik Stensland.
