RMNP has a number of trails that are considered accessible. These trails are graded and have minimal elevation gain, making them ideal destinations for visitors using mobility aids.
Accessible Walking and Hiking Trails in Rocky Mountain National Park
It is important to keep in mind that loose gravel, uneven surfaces, rocks, tree roots and steep areas can and do exist on these trails. Additionally, weather impacts such as snow, ice, and mud may also affect the conditions of these trails. If you are unsure of trail conditions, speak with a ranger at one of the visitor centers or look at the trail conditions before heading to the trailhead.

Alluvial Fan

There is accessible parking at both East and West Alluvial Fan Parking Lots.
There are accessible vault toilets and picnic tables at the West Alluvial Fan parking lot. It is recommended that visitors utilizing mobility aids access the trail from the West Alluvial Fan parking lot. The trail from the East Alluvial Fan parking lot is very steep, reaching up to a 19.5% grade.
Bear Lake

Bear Lake offers accessible parking and accessible vault toilets. A packed gravel trail circles Bear Lake, with benches located around the lake so visitors can enjoy the views. The first portion of the trail is accessible in either direction; farther along, trail grades exceed 8% in places. On the southwest side of the lake, the trail has log "steps” which may require assistance for certain mobility aid users. If you want to go down these steps, go counterclockwise around the lake by following the trail to the right. If you want to go up these steps, go clockwise around the lake by following the trail to the left.
Beaver Boardwalk

While the boardwalk is accessible, there is no designated accessible parking. There are also no restrooms or picnic tables located at the Beaver Boardwalk. However, accessible restrooms and picnic tables are located 1 mile west at Hidden Valley.
Coyote Valley Trail

Coyote Valley trail offers accessible parking and accessible vault toilets. There are accessible picnic tables a short distance away from the parking lot along the trail and over the Colorado River. This is a level-grade, packed gravel trail which crosses the Colorado River into the Kawuneeche Valley. The use of gloves may be helpful.
Holzwarth Historic Site

The Holzwarth Historic Site is located one half mile west of the Holzwarth Historic Site parking lot, and there is a small structure open to the public next to the parking lot. The path across the meadow is flat and gravelly. However, assistance may be needed for some mobility aid users at the historic site itself, as it is set in the trees and how some hills and slopes.
Lily Lake

Lily Lake offers accessible parking, accessible vault toilets, an accessible fishing pier, and accessible picnic tables. The trail around Lily Lake is primarily packed gravel with a wide boardwalk on the south side of the lake. There is a section on the south side of the lake that is somewhat hilly, and some assistance may be needed for some mobility aid users. There are a few spur trails coming off of the Lily Lake trail, including the trails to Lily Ridge, which are not accessible.
Sprague Lake

Sprague Lake offers accessible parking, accessible flush toilets in the summer season, accessible vault toilets year-round, an accessible fishing pier, and accessible picnic tables. The 1/2 mile, packed gravel trail around Sprague Lake has benches and a fishing pier, and also allows access to the Sprague Lake Accessible Wilderness Campsite.
