A quarter-mile, wheelchair-accessible trail leads around the south side of Lily Lake to the Southside Picnic Site. It is tucked back in the forest with glimpses of Longs Peak, Mount Meeker, Twin Sisters, Lily Mountain and Lily Lake through the trees. This site offers the beauty of Lily Lake with a bit more seclusion from the crowds. This area is also the only location in the park that you can hold a reception; however a separate permit must be issued for this.

Permits and Passes: During the busy summer season, this location requires a Park Access Timed Entry Reservation between 9 am and 2 pm.
Site Location: 6.4 miles from Beaver Meadows Visitor Center on Hwy 7.
Other Notes and Restrictions: There are vault restrooms available at the trailhead. *Ceremony size and vehicle limit of 10 applies from the Friday before Memorial Day weekend through Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
