Sprague Lake's beautiful view of the Continental Divide

Sprague Lake offers an unparalleled view of a beautiful lake with the Continental Divide including Taylor Peak, Otis Peak, Hallett Peak, and Flattop Mountain towering above. This lake offers a wheelchair-accessible trail, dock, knoll, and wooden foot bridge. There are two benches located by the dock. This area is very popular, so no weekend ceremonies are permitted at any time. You are likely to have other people in the area during your ceremony.

Permits and Passes:
During the busy summer season, this location requires a Park Access + Timed Entry Reservation between 5 am and 6 pm.
Site Location:
7 miles from Beaver Meadows Visitor Center on Bear Lake Road.
Other Notes and Restrictions:
Vault restrooms are available year-round, and flush toilets are available in the summer season. Your ceremony cannot occupy picnic sites. *Ceremony size and vehicle limit of 10 applies from the Friday before Memorial Day weekend through Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
