Today, I spent most of the day climbing mountains. I visited 5 different mountains and enjoyed stunning views in the alpine world. It was definitely early autumn with the tundra colors of brown, orange, and red, but from this view all you can see is rock and water. I don't know that I've seen a year when there is so little snow to be found up on the mountains. It made for great hiking and climbing, but I'm reallly holding out hope that we'll get the moisture we need this coming winter. Photo © copyright by Erik Stensland.
