One of the challenges every artist faces is to find the beauty in the mundane. Looking out over Abiquiu Lake after a long day out, the scene that presented itself was proving to be particularly challenging in this regard. Yet as the sun descended below the horizon, it briefly shone forth from behind the clouds to provide a small burst of loveliness before hiding its face behind the curtains of night.
